PayPal, Facebook, Google, YouTube, Skype, Yahoo and Microsoft, but also BBC and HBO, are among the big names on the Internet that will share their expertise in Bucharest, on 6-7 June 2013, during this year’s ICEEfest - www.iceefest.com(Interactive Central and Eastern Europe Festival).
The event looks to be very interesting both for Romanian business partners and for companies operating throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Besides the tech companies already mentioned, the communication world will also be strongly represented at ICEEfest with presentations from Saatchi & Saatchi, Duval Guillaume Modem, Draftfcb, McCann Erickson, Grey Group, Mediabrands Worldwide, Lbi and others.
This year’s ICEEfest also has a section dedicated to gaming and the mobile internet sector. This part of the program will include remarks from representatives of Deezer, Orange, Ubisoft and Gameforge.
Participants at ICEEfest will have access to seminars and conferences. They will engage in networking and exchange of technical know-how, along with enjoying some entertainment. The event will include a stand-up comedy night; an evening dedicated to viral movies and online humor; along with a contest for mobile app developers. The event will also host the Romanian IAB MIXX awards gala and meetings between stars and their Facebook fans.
„Besides the tech exhibition and the events within the festival, this year we will practically have 2 conferences running at the same time: one focused on ties between creativity and innovation and a second focused on more practical and current technology/business concerns,” explains Dragos Stanca, Managing Partner at ThinkDigital Romania & founder of ICEEfest.
ICEEfest is the new brand under which the event, RoNewMedia, has been relaunched. RoNewMedia first took place in 2008, but now it looks to expand onto the regional market of big events related to tech and digital industries.
The festival is organized in partnership with Orange and with support from Microsoft – via Internet Explorer 10 and Windows 8. It will take place on 6-7 June 2013 at the Grand Cinema Digiplex in Baneasa Shopping City in Bucharest, Romania. Tickets are available and can be booked on the official website, www.ICEEfest.com, while reservations for the event’s expo area are still open to partners.
