Terasa U Zlaté studně - The winner of the Grand Restaurant 2015

Terasa U Zlaté studně won the first place in the overall ranking of The Mauer’s Selection Grand Restaurant awards. It is the only restaurant in a history that won the title twice (first one in 2012).

„This year was very successful for us and winning of this award is like an imaginary cherry on top of the cake as well as cumulation of the season and last but not least it is a reward for our year-round hard work“, says Pavel Sapík, the chef of the restaurant, which has been in this position for 13 years. The Restaurant Manager Michal Motyčka adds: ”It is the confirmation of a teamwork and a stable team. The restaurant team has not changed since 2008. Together with the travelling platform TripAdvisor we reached a double, as all the sportsmen say. This adds to the sweet rounding of the year, which will be even sweeter.“ 

The restaurant with its magnificent Prague views offers not only first class cuisine, but also a unique terrace in a close vicinity of The Prague Castle. 

Terasa U Zlaté studně is a part of a boutique hotel Golden Well (U Zlat0 studně), which won the award of the “Best Hotel of The World” and “Hidden Gem”, according to the travelling portal TripAdvisor. 

Pavel Sapík was born in 1975 to the family of talented chefs with long-standing tradition. Cooking was his childhood and the kitchen was and still is his playground. His skills were mastered with various internships abroad. In the season 2001/2002 he won The Chef of the Year and was a key member of the national culinary team, which regularly won medals in competitions. In his collection, he owns bronze, silver and of course gold medals.
