Czech Airlines Launches New Tariff Packages

Effective of today, 25 February 2015, Czech Airlines launches new simplified and unified tariff packages. In connection to this step, new conditions of carriage come into force.

The new Czech Airlines’ tariff packages are called: Standard and Flexi (for the Economy Class cabin) and Business. 

Tariff Packages Standard, Flexi and Business Now Allow:

• Combining several RBDs of flight segments in one direction of a journey under one package;
• Combining different  packages for outbound and inbound journeys;
• Changing tickets purchased under the Standard package prior to and after the departure date against a fee (this service is provided free of charge under Business and Flexi packages, against a service fee (SVF) payment);
• Using Business Class counters for checking-in and Fast Track lines for security screening (if available at the airport), together with priority boarding with tickets purchased under the Flexi package;
• Booking and purchasing of additional services also for the lowest tariff classes under the Standard package.

New Tariff Packages Cancel:

• The so-called minimum stay condition for all destinations where the structure of one-way tariffs has been introduced.

New Tariff Packages Unify:

• Infant (0 - 2 years of age) and child (2 – 12 years of age) discounts: Discounts for infants will now be 90%, while discounts for children will be 25%, under all RBDs.

New Tariff Packages Introduce:

• A unified surcharge for all infants equal to EUR 3 per segment flown under all RBDs;
• New weight limits for complimentary checked-in baggage for non-members of the OK Plus Programme with tickets to selected destinations purchased under the Standard tariff.

According to the new tariff package rules, Czech Airlines allows every passenger, even with a ticket under the lowest booking class, to carry on board one piece of baggage weighing a maximum of 8 kg and check-in a minimum of one piece of baggage of up to 15 or 23 kg in weight free of charge. 

Rules for the transport of carry-on baggage remain unchanged, just as the rules for the transport of checked in baggage for OK Plus Programme members. I.e.: Members of the OK Plus Frequent Flyer Programme with Economy Class lowest tariff tickets for Czech Airlines’ flights can still check in one piece of baggage of up to 23 kg in weight, irrespective of the final destination. The same rules also apply to passengers on routes to Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Madrid, Paris, Seoul, Warsaw and to all destinations in Russia and CIS countries (the so-called Zone 2), irrespective of their membership status. Non-members of the OK Plus Frequent Flyer Programme travelling to all other destinations serviced by Czech Airlines (the so-called Zone 1), will be able to check in one piece of baggage of up to 15 kg in weight free of charge with tickets issued under the Standard package.
