Czech Airlines Technics Entered into a Contract with Transavia to Maintain their Entire Fleet

15.04.2015
Company: Amcham

Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a subsidiary of Český Aeroholding, which provides aircraft base maintenance, renewed the contract with the Dutch airline company Transavia. A contract that guarantees a fixed number of aircraft to be maintained is proof of the long-term and high-quality services that CSAT provides and a direct result of the shift in their business strategy.

Transavia has been using CSAT’s services since 2003. Although until now Transavia has been using several contractors, after eleven years of working closely together and based on our long-term positive experience, the company decided to renew the contract with CSAT. The contract provides for a fixed volume of base maintenance for Transavia’s fleet between September 2015 and April 2017. CSAT guarantees the maintenance of at least 16 Boeing 737 NG’s for the 2015/2016 season and at least 14 Boeing 737 NG’s for 2016/2017.

“The formation of the contract is a result of the shift in our business strategy, characterised by our emphasis on forming long-term partnerships with customers. It confirms our assumption that trying to satisfy the specific needs of each customer is positively viewed by our customers,” says Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Český Aerohodling. “The renewal of the contract with our established customer was achieved not only through the high quality of our work, but also thanks to the professional approach taken by our employees. Our customers also welcome the timely manner of our services and our strict observance of safety standards,” adds Řehoř.

Transavia is a Dutch airline and a member of the Air France-KLM group. Transavia’s fleet base is at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), with other Dutch bases located in Rotterdam (RTM) and Eindhoven (EIN).

Czech Airlines Technics specialises in the repair and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft equipment, both as base and line maintenance, component maintenance, engineering and landing gear maintenance. In 2014, the company completed more than 100 base maintenance orders on B737, the A320 family and ATR aircraft. The majority of these orders was performed for customers from abroad. Among the most important of CSAT’s customers are ČSA, FINNAIR, Transavia, Germania, Travel Service, TUIfly, NEOS, Air Berlin and the Czech Air Force.

Beyond the scope of regular maintenance, CSAT’s service portfolio includes different configurations and service bulletins, structural repairs, engine replacement, replacement and repair of aircraft landing gear and other aircraft components. Another achievement worth mentioning is the retrofit of Split Scimitar Winglets on B737NG aircraft, the first of its kind to be performed in continental Europe.
