Allen & Overy announces the promotion of Prokop Verner to Counsel

Allen & Overy has announced today that senior associate Prokop Verner has been promoted to Counsel. The promotion comes into effect on 1 May and Prokop will lead Allen & Overy’s Corporate practice in Prague.
Prokop has been with Allen & Overy since 2004, focusing on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. Prokop has acted as a legal advisor on a number of international transactions in Central and Eastern Europe. He is also an acknowledged specialist in the sector of telecommunications, media and technologies and in the area of personal data protection, including regulatory matters. CHAMBERS said of Prokop: “Prokop continues to impress sources and clients alike with his negotiation and written skills. Clients appreciate that he is ‘very diligent and listens to what the client needs.’ “
Prokop graduated from Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Law, in 2002 and in 2004 completed an Executive MBA in Finance at ESCEM France.
Allen & Overy today announces that 33 lawyers have been promoted to Counsel across the global network. The promotions are in 15 offices across Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region and include lawyers in the Banking, Corporate, ICM, Litigation and Tax practices.
