Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Nordic Capital Fund VII ('Nordic Capital') on its acquisition of the Sunrise Medical group from Equistone Partners Europe.
Sunrise Medical is a world leader in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and scooters as well as seating and positioning products. Headquartered in Malsch, Germany, the company employs 2,000 people worldwide and sells its products in more than 130 countries.
With the addition of Sunrise Medical, Nordic Capital invests further in the high quality mobility products and services sector, and expands its holdings within mobility products both in Northern Europe and internationally.
The purchase price was not disclosed and the transaction is subject to merger control clearances.
