Medtronic Announces Date for 2015 Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting to be held in Dublin, Ireland on December 11, 2015
The board of directors of Medtronic plc (NYSE: MDT) announced that the company's annual meeting of shareholders will be held at 9:00 a.m. Irish Standard Time, on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Conrad Hotel, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, Ireland. Shareholders of record at the close of business on October 12, 2015, will be eligible to vote at the meeting.
The 2015 Annual Meeting will be the first to be held in Ireland. On January 26, 2015, Medtronic, Inc. acquired Covidien plc through the formation of a new holding company incorporated in Ireland, Medtronic plc. The change in timing of the company's 2015 Annual Meeting to December was necessary to meet Irish regulatory filing requirements.
The Annual Meeting also will be webcast live on December 11, via the company website www.medtronic.com. An archived recording will be available later that day following the completion of the meeting.
