On 22 June 2009 KPMG Czech Republic organised a discussion brunch entitled “The benefits of a well performing Audit Committee“ at the company’s head office in Prague. The participants of the event discussed new legislative requirements concerning Audit Committees and their effective operating principles.
Pavel Závitkovský, Partner at KPMG Czech Republic,
Pavel Racocha, Head of Internal Audit at Komerční banka, and
Bohuslav Poduška, Head of Internal Audit at Česká spořitelna, presented their experience with Audit Committees in the banking sector. Members of Supervisory Boards and Internal Auditors of other major companies such as UniCredit Bank Czech Republic, a.s., Generali PPF Holding B.V., OKD, a.s., AGROFERT HOLDING, a.s., Českomoravská záruční a rozvojová banka, a.s., and Skanska CZ, a.s., also took part in the discussion.
