Ending production of Panasonic in eastern Slovakia offered an industrial complex in Krompachy for sale. Warehouse property was sold to a Slovak company in record time of 6 months. The new owner offered the highest offer beating foreign companies. Sale of warehouse and logistics area in Krompachy was arranged by real-estate leader CBRE.
Warehouse and Production Facility in Krompachy was offered for sale at the beginning of 2015. Panasonic asked CBRE, Mayumi Yokozeki, Senior Consultant Japan for CEE in particular, to manage it. „Our client Panasonic really appreciated the value added by real understanding of Japanese business and connection to an abundance of local knowledge. The combination of these advantages and native speaker’s support exceeded client expectation,“ comments Mayumi Yokozeki.
This case serves as a great example of effective cross border cooperation within CBRE, Czech and Slovak industrial knowledge on this occasion.
CBRE managed to find a new owner within six months while the average time of industrial sales counts between 6 to 18 months. "The advantage of this industrial area is its location within the region and the existing buildings with infrastructure. We are pleased to meet the expectations of the client in such a short time," explains Tomáš Ostatník from industrial department of CBRE Slovakia.
Warehouse and Production Facility is situated in Košice region in the town of Krompachy with a total area of 42 489 sq m. Built-up area consists of 25 492 sq m. Companies SEZ Krompachy, Zlievareň SEZ Krompachy or Kovohuty are operating in the neighborhood of the former Panasonic factory.
The new owner of the warehouse and logistics area in Krompachy is a Slovak company that offered the highest offer beating foreign companies. "We chose CBRE as a partner of this transaction. Within 6 months they managed to make a deal. Our expectations have been exceeded, in the terms of a record time, as well as the height of the offer," says Kei Sakudo, Director Administration at Panasonic AVC Networks Slovakia.

Panasonic's departure from the manufacturing complex in Krompachy will release 25 492 sq m of warehouse and logistics space at the Slovakian industrial market. Site for sale is located in Košice region in the town of Krompachy close to road E 50. The Property is located in industrial zone of Krompachy and close to the residential area, including public transportation. „To the highlights of this property belog it´s location, size and existing buildings with all utilities on site," explains Tomáš Ostatník from industrial department of CBRE Slovakia.
Warehouse and production facility in Krompachy offers a total area of 42,489 m2 with 30% of green surfaces ratio. In the neighborhood of the former Panasonic factory are operating companies SEZ Krompachy, foundry SEZ Krompachy as or Kovohuty a.s.
