Amgen s.r.o., biopharmaceutical producer is Czech Best Employer 2015

Amgen won the award in the SME category for companies with less than 250 employees.

Results of the 12th Best Employer survey were announced Wednesday November 11, 2015. Biopharmaceutical producer Amgen won the award in SME category for companies with less than 250 employees. Extraordinary high level of employee motivation was certainly the key criterion that helped Amgen succeed.

The key for success is the positive, enagaged attitude in a workplace

Aon Hewitt compared the working conditions in 49 companies employing almost 14 000 employees. In order to succeed, all participating companies had to obtain a certain number of points in four categories: highly motivated employees; credible management that appreciates its employees; performance-based remuneration; and the pride the employees take in their company brand. “A happy, engaged employee is the foundation of a healthy business. These results show that Amgen employees feel engaged in their work; this allows us to retain and attract top talent in our industry,” says PharmDr. Mark Bachleda, MBA, Country Director Amgen s.r.o.

Amgen employees are motivated employees

The competition for the Best Employer of the Czech Republic award starts with an invitation of the employees for the completion of questionnaires. The focus is, among other things, on how well the manager communicates with colleagues, level of work-related stress or the whether the respondent would recommend working for the company to their family and friends. The survey also showed that Amgen employees’ motivation level reached as high as 83%, while the average in the Czech Republic is only about 55%. “Our mission at Amgen is to serve patients with grievous illnesses.
