New Refreshment Concept Aboard Czech Airlines‘ Flights

25.11.2015
Company: Amcham

Effective 1 December 2015, Czech Airlines will provide complimentary refreshments to Business Class passengers and to Economy Class passengers on flights to/from Almaty and Seoul only.

Passengers on other Czech Airlines’ jet-engine operated flights will be able to pre-purchase meals identical to those served in Business Class as part of the new MENU UPGRADE service. Czech Airlines’ flights to Russia and Yerevan will feature hot meals with salad, dessert and freshly-baked pastry, while other Czech Airlines’ European flights will feature cold meals, desserts and freshly-baked pastry. Alongside food, the price of the MENU UPGRADE service also includes three beverages based on the passenger’s preference: one soft drink (water, Coke or juice), one hot beverage (coffee or tea) and one alcoholic beverage (Moravian wine or Pilsner beer). The price of the complete cold menu, including drinks, has been set at 8 EUR, while the hot menu will cost 12 EUR

The MENU UPGRADE service can be purchased by passengers together with their tickets via all Czech Airlines’ distribution channels, i.e. via Czech Airlines’ website and mobile applications, Czech Airlines’ contact centre, at travel agencies and ticketing points selling Czech Airlines’ tickets. It will also be possible to add the service to previously-issued tickets using the same channel as for purchasing the tickets and to do so at any time, but no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure. Passengers who purchase their tickets online will be able to use the new Czech Airlines’ application called MY BOOKINGS to add the service.

Passengers on ATR-operated flights or those who have not pre-purchased the MENU UPGRADE service will be able to choose from the new offer of paid in-flight refreshments offered under the new BUY ON BOARD package, consisting of a wide assortment of more than 40 light snacks and beverages. Among other items, brand-name croissants, honey-cakes, chocolate and muesli bars, biscuits, crisps, nuts and other sweet and savoury products will be offered.
