Andrea T. KALIVODOVÁ christened her CD "My best" in TOP HOTEL Prague

On the 24th November, TOP HOTEL Prague witnessed a ceremonial event: opera singer Andrea Tögel Kalivodová christened her new CD entitled "My best" in the exclusive restaurant TOP Bohemia. Her godparents were actor Juraj Kukura, director of the National Theater Jan Burian, the conductor and artistic director of the National Theatre Opera Petr Kofroň and TOP Hotel Prague´s General Director Radek Dohnal.

On the new CD, which was born as a gift for the audience, the most beautiful opera and musical melodies can be listened. "I had planned the CD from the beginning of the recording as a gift for my loved ones, friends and listeners. I felt that I want to sing just for them. As if they were standing next to me. And so I decided to sing melodies, that are the closest to my heart. The album is full of titles that you like to sing with me, whether at home, at work or on the road. I think that the Czech texts of musicals will contribute to the joint singing with my CD" explained Andrea. Her former, debut CD „By the ways of love“ Andrea Kalivodová Tögel released at the end of 2011.

In the course of the evening, Andrea sang, accompanied by pianist Ladislava Vondráčková, 4 songs from her new CD. She got a lot of applause from the more than hundreds of guests, including many important persons and celebrities. Among them Vice-President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Miluše Horská, singer Tereza Mátlová, singer and composer David Deyl, model Aneta Vignerová, reporters Nora Fridrichová and Robert Záruba and opera singer Pavlína Senić. The evening was moderated by actor Ondřej Kepka.

At the end of the ceremony TOP HOTEL Prague brought a big surprise for Andrea: a beautiful cake in the style of Carmen. Because Andrea was not only introducing her new CD that day, but she had her birthday too. The rest of the evening then pleasantly passed in the spirit of the meetings, joint photos with Andrea and tasting of selected delicacies and fresh cuisine of the TOP Hotel Prague.

Andrea Tögel Kalivodová is the leading Czech opera singer, mezzo-soprano and currently a soloist of the National Theatre, where she plays a significant role of the opera repertoire, for example in Carmen and Boris Godunov. Still is singing also at the State Opera Prague. Andrea is devoted to concert activities and performs throughout Europe, America, Japan, and other countries.
