Pavel Kliment comments on the report about a decrease in the construction industry in October

8.12.2015
Company: KPMG Česká republika, s.r.o.

The Czech construction industry is still dependent on the public investment and sources from European funds. Therefore we can observe the current slowdown, which will also continue in the next year. Everything indicates that the private investment in real estate constructions will grow but its impact on the construction industry's development is minor.

If construction companies want to keep the sector sustainably growing in future and want to limit the dependence on funds from the state and European Union, which will stop to flow sooner or later, they should right now initiate legislative changes which will, for example, significantly accelerate planning and assessment of new buildings.

More information in the attached press release in Czech language.
