Prague Airport, the operator of Václav Havel Airport Prague, has been named a National Champion in the Customer Focus category of the prestigious European Business Awards. Now, Prague Airport represents the Czech Republic with a presentation video in the next round of the competition for the coveted Ruban d’Honneur status in the Customer Focus category. The National Champion videos will be featured on the European Business Awards website as part of a two-stage public vote in which Prague Airport competes for the title of Czech National Champion.

The European Business Awards, now in its 9th year, evaluated over 32,000 business from 33 European countries and 678 companies from across Europe have been named as National Champions; going through to the second phase of the competition. A total of 74 businesses from across Europe received awards in the Customer Focus category, won by Prague Airport, with two from the Czech Republic.

The next round requires the National Champions to make a presentation video, which is currently being reviewed by independent judges. The best of this group will be awarded the coveted ‘Ruban d’Honneur’ status, the recipients of which will advance to The European Business Awards 2016 grand finals.

Separately, the National Champion videos have been made public on the European Business Awards websitewww.businessawardseurope.com, where public voting to decide the ‘National Public Champions’ of each country will finish on 26 February 2016. Prague Airport will represent the Czech Republic in this round. All of the National Public Champions will go through to a second round of the public voting, which decides who will become the European Public Champion. The voting for this phase will take place from 7 March to 26 April 2016, and the results will be announced together with the winners of each category at the European Business Awards Gala event in June.

The European Business Awards sponsored by RSM is a prestigious competition supported by businesses leaders, academics, media and political representatives from across Europe.
