The first phase of the project set up in cooperation with Neziskovky.cz is drawing to a close. The ten participating non-profit organisations have completed the last of a number of training sessions provided by KPMG Czech Republic and are now working on practical tasks. Three of them will then proceed to the finals, where one will be chosen to become a long-term partner of KPMG Czech Republic.
The winning organisation will be chosen by employees of KPMG Czech Republic in a vote, and will be provided with advisory, training and marketing services. It will also be able to take part in volunteer schemes and have the opportunity to acquire financial support for a selected project.
“Narrowing it down to just one non-profit organisation will be very difficult as all of them have been performing really well. Any one of them could become our partner,” said Roger Gascoigne, partner at KPMG Czech Republic.
The project aim is to enhance the development of non-profit organisations by helping them to adopt a more business-oriented approach and assisting them in improving the quality and efficiency of their activities. Providing professional assistance to them is part of KPMG Czech Republic’s strategy to involve its employees in corporate social responsibility projects. The company’s CSR programme includes projects for high-school and university students, fundraising activities, volunteer schemes involving manual work, and pro bono audit, tax and advisory services.
