Mazars’ tax advisors Tereza Köppelová and Petr Drahoš succeeded in prestigious Tax Advisor of the Year awards

The Mazars consulting company succeeded in the sixth annual “ČSOB Tax Advisor and Rising Tax Star of the Year” awards. Its tax advisor Tereza Köppelová was one of the three winners in the “Brightest Rising Tax Star” category (a competition for tax specialist up to 34 years of age). In addition to her tax advisor Petr Drahoš, as one of the experts with the most votes, was selected for the “Dream Tax Office” (in which there are 11 experts with the greatest number of votes in the categories of Brightest Tax Star and Brightest Rising Tax Star). Tereza specialises in the area of personal taxation and she has defended the title of Brightest Rising Tax Star for the second time in a row. Petr is involved in the area of value added tax and he also defended his inclusion last year in the Dream Tax Office.

The prestigious competition of tax specialists in the state and commercial spheres features a total of eight categories – Most Desirable Tax Employer, Most Helpful Revenue Authority, Best Tax Teachers, Brightest Tax Stars in the individual specialisations, Brightest Rising Tax Stars, Dream Tax Office, Tax Personality of the Year and Tax Lemon. The winners are chosen through voting over the Internet by the lay and professional public, who sent in more than 6500 votes for the 80 nominated tax specialists.

“Tereza and Petr are professionals in their fields, whose qualities are not only recognised by our clients, but also by the professional and lay public judging from the results of the awards. I am proud that both have been working in Mazars from the beginning of their careers. It proves to me that our professional education system works very well,” commented the Leading Partner of the Tax Department, Pavel Klein, with regard to the results.

I do not only see the result as my own personal award, but primarily as an evaluation of the entire team that is involved in personal income tax in Mazars. We are personally very pleased with the positive feedback and it is a great obligation for us to keep the high quality of our services in the future as well,” added the award-winning Tereza Köppelová.

Tereza Köppelová works in Mazars in the position of the Manager of the Personal Tax team. She has long specialised in the area of personal income tax. Tereza Köppelová is a certified tax advisor and she is a member of the expert section on personal income tax in the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors. She actively publishes with an orientation on the theme of personal income tax. She is a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague and she speaks Czech and English.

Petr Drahoš is the Manager of the VAT team. He has more than 10 years of experience in the area of tax consultation and he is a certified tax advisor. In the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors he is a member of the expert section on indirect taxation. Petr specialises in consultation in the area of VAT for local and foreign clients. He has participated in several international and acquisition projects. Petr Drahoš is a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague and he speaks Czech and English.
