CMS Prague has expanded its team with the appointment of two new lawyers, Tomáš Pavelka and Monika Mareková. They have both joined the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes team. Meanwhile Pavel Dřímal, who joined the firm in 2012 has successfully passed his bar exam and Pavel Kocián who has been working at CMS as a student for two years has now graduated from Charles University and will continue to work for the firm as a koncipient.

This strategy is also reflected by the fact that we have been able to retain a lawyer who recently passed his bar exam as well as a student who has recently graduated from law school.”
Tomáš Pavelka (29) graduated from law at Charles University and in 2013 finished his LL.M in EU law at Cambridge University. He joins the firm as a koncipient in the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes team. Tomáš has two years experience from a domestic firm in Prague and at CMS his primary focus will be on advising clients on EU competition law.
Monika Mareková (28) graduated from law at Masaryk University and in 2014 completed a Magister Juris at Oxford University. She joins the firm as a koncipient in the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes team. Monika has two years previous experience working for a global international law firm in Prague and at the Ministry of Trade for the Czech Republic. At CMS her primary focus will be on advising clients on insolvency law, litigation, EU law and white collar crime.
Pavel Dřímal (28), who fulfilled his koncipiency at CMS, successfully passed the Czech bar exam. He is a Corporate lawyer and particularly active in the areas of energy, manufacturing and heavy industries. Pavel will continue to advise clients on both transactional and regulatory matters, including day-to-day business issues in the Czech Republic.
Pavel Kocián (26) successfully graduated from Charles University in March 2016. He has been working with CMS for two years and will commence his koncipiency in the Corporate team.
