Are you tired of all the laws, amendments, sections and rules? We have decided to liven up our newsletters by including short interviews with our specialists to give you a glimpse of the real people, with their professional hats off. Jan Voříšek has been head of TACOMA’s valuation team since March. We asked him a few non-work related questions, and here is what he had to say.
Well, it has been a while now, but I combined business and pleasure by extending a trip to a conference to include two weeks in South Africa – on a safari and travelling around. The most exciting part of the safari was meeting a lion, although it was only at a distance. That was really something!
My dream holiday would bring together several things. It would be long – at least a month. No coverage. I’d be on a boat, and diving.
I wouldn‘t. (laugh)
During a night hike on Sněžka. This climb to watch the sunrise is organised every year. For me it was a unique opportunity to see a sunrise, as I don’t like getting up early at all. I’m no early bird!
I now only read fairy tales to my children. But a favourite writer of mine is John Irving. His novel The World According to Garp is brilliant! I also like The Fourth Hand.
I can’t remember!
I’ve been diving for some time now. Apart from that, I like trekking in the mountains and climbing via ferratas. I like riding my bike, too...
I haven’t even taken my bike out once this year, so I’ve done zero kilometres. I haven’t had time up to now, but I plan to make up for it at weekends!
I only fear other divers who don’t know how to dive, and do foolish things.
A whale shark. It was about 10 metres long. And I wasn’t afraid, seriously! Firstly I knew these sharks only fed on plankton, and second, a fish never attacks divers. If you don’t touch them, there’s no danger.
This is about water again – I like seals. It’s also the reason we have a diving club called ‘The Seals’, and why we’ve adopted seals at Prague zoo.
Probably a Porsche Carrera. But I would like to have the old model with the round headlights; the one they stopped making in about 1997.
I like warm weather, so I would certainly go south! It could even be Europe – for example Spain or Portugal would be nice. I would also like to live in Thailand, because of the people.
Yes, unfortunately I do. It would be great if I didn’t have to, though.
I don’t really like festivals because I don’t like mass events, and summer festivals are always crowded. But I am looking forward to the Faith No More concert I’m going to.
With milk and no sugar. I don’t like coffee from machines – even though it’s what I drink most often!
