It’s all about football at Vienna House

9.06.2016
Company: Amcham

The Vienna House hotels are all about football during the European Football Championship this month: from daily betting to public screenings, snacks and cocktails to activities for kids. Even soccer holdouts will be treated to a little surprise.

Creative way to celebrate the 2016 UEFA European Championship

Starting 10 June 2016, football fever is gripping the Vienna House hotels. Green carpeting and table football await fans at Vienna House Loipersdorf. At the two Cracow properties, andel’s and Chopin, kids will get their fill of fun making and decorating footballs during the games. From 9 June, the Bratislava hotel invites visitors of its Facebook fan page to guess which hotel employee is a true football talent and will knock over the beer. The winner will get an unlimited supply of beer during the first match, Wales vs. Slovakia, on 11 June at the hotel bar – public screening included, of course. Other hotels are offering daily betting during check-in, creative anthems for your favourite team (with a prize for the best) and Vienna House Diplomat Prague is even giving guests a chance to test their goal-shooting skills.

The two management board members Rupert Simoner and Martin Ykema are also looking forward to the upcoming mega-event. “Our two hotels in the host country, the Magic Circus and Dream Castle Hotels, and all our other Vienna House properties have really gone flat out to help spread the positive spirit of the games during the championship. We wish all teams the best of luck and look forward to some exciting matches.”

Show football the red card!

According to Statista.com, there are 1.6 billion football fans worldwide (2015). So there are enough guests left over who don’t really care about the game with the round bit of leather. They can show football the red card this month at the Vienna House hotels. Instead of watching the games, they can kick back, relax and look forward beauty products like exfoliating scrubs, moisturising creams or shower gels from Clarins, Clinique, La Sultane de Saba, Pacific Direct, Rituals and Vinoble as well as special discounts for spa treatments.

The way to a person’s football heart is through their stomach

All guests of the Vienna House hotels can look forward to some culinary football specials during the 2016 Euro. Football fanatics at angelo by Vienna House Munich Westpark will enjoy the Euro Lounge by Thomas Henry, with cocktails and long drinks from Thomas Henry and Pernod Ricard served during halftime. Euro Burgers with caramelised onion rings await fans at angelo by Vienna House Bucharest. Free beer will flow from the taps in Wuppertal and Trier every time the German national team scores. And delicious liquid delicacies are being conjured up at Vienna House Dream Castle Paris – drinks depending on the nations playing at that time. Football fans at the nearby Vienna House Magic Circus Hotel will have to work a bit harder for their drink: sporting their national flag or team jersey, guests will receive a free shot at the bar if their national team scores a goal. Finally, Vienna House Easy Günzburg is going fully French in honour of the Euro 2016 host: French snacks will make the football evening a sweet (or salty) experience, decorated with national flags depending on who’s got the ball at the moment.

And so nobody misses any of the excitement, nearly all Vienna House hotels will feature live broadcasts of the games at the hotel bars.
