Delivery of paper documents to end in November

3.09.2009
Company: Amcham

From 1 November 2009, the public administration bodies (financial authorities, courts, social security authorities, etc.) will deliver mail to business companies via data boxes only

The conditions of delivery to addressees have been tightened. Since July, the change in the Civil Procedure Code has implemented a legal fiction regarding delivery in the case of mail forwarded to someone’s attention. In addition, from 1 November 2009, mail will not be delivered to business companies and other holders of data boxes in paper form but via a data box in which the mail will be considered delivered at the moment the addressee logs into the data box. If the addressee does not log into the data box during the ten-day deposition period, the mail will be considered delivered on the tenth day.
