Paul Stewart appointed as Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax & Legal Service in the Czech Republic

Paul Stewart (39) was appointed as the leading partner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Czech tax practice. Paul is taking this role over from Stephen Booth who was previously nominated the Country Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Czech Republic in July last year and who will now focus fully on managing the firm as a whole.

  PWC_Paul StewartPaul Stewart returns to Prague after spending over two years as the Partner in Charge of the PwC office in St. Peterburg, Russia as well as leading the Tax and Legal practice in St Petersburg. Paul has been working for PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2003. The Czech tax practice of PwC provides a wide range of tax services and advice, from corporate compliance, international taxation and tax structuring, M&A, transfer pricing, and indirect taxes to international assignments, immigration services and human resource consulting.

In addition to leading the Czech tax teams, Paul will also continue his role as the Tax and Legal Human Capital Partner for PwC in Central & Eastern Europe.

Paul Stewart stated:

Prior to joining PwC, Paul was a tax partner with Andersen. Apart from Russia and the Czech Republic, Paul has worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and Slovakia, where he provided comprehensive advice on complex tax and commercial issues primarily related to inbound investment transactions.

Paul holds a degree in economics from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

His hobbies include travelling, golf and relaxing with family.
