The economic crisis has increased demands on the effectiveness of human resource management.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has reacted to the increased demand for HR services by reinforcing its Human Resource Services team. Will Schofield (42) has been appointed as a leading partner in Human Resource Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Czech Republic. Branislav Hunčík (35) has been appointed as a Director in Human Resource Management for PricewaterhouseCoopers Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Will’s role in the Czech Republic will see him working closely with the local Human Resource Services team providing clients with a wide range of HR-related services and products, from immigration advice and international personal tax planning through to the design and implementation of reward systems, HR benchmarking and people engagement.
Will's international interests are also reflected in his role as leader of the Human Resource Services group across Central and Eastern Europe. This team numbers in excess of 250 HR and tax professionals in over 20 territories and allows for the provision to clients of both local expertise and support and an international perspective where businesses have expanded beyond their own borders. Will notes:
“My particular area of interest lies in cross border HR issues, specifically relating to personal taxation, remuneration structuring, including provision for retirement and long-term incentive plans, expatriate policy design and, more broadly, the use of international assignments as part of a people development programme.”
Will has accumulated almost 20 years service with PricewaterhouseCoopers in a number of territories including the UK, Australia and Russia. He holds dual citizenships from the UK and Australia, is married and has 2 daughters.
Branislav’s aim is management and development of new services for both local and international clients in both Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Branislav has more than ten years experience in human resource management and is responsible for HR process analysis projects, projects increasing productivity, projects increasing HR department effectiveness and employee involvement and life cycle management. Since 2005, Branislav has been a regional coordinator of the added value of human capital investment projects within the Central and Eastern European region. He has managed projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Russia. Branislav comments:

Branislav has a PwC Saratoga Institute accreditation on providing human capital value management services and setting HR department effectiveness. Before joining PwC in 2003, Branislav worked in media and energy sectors as an HR Assistant and HR Manager. Branislav has PhDr. and PhD. university degrees in sociology from Charles University, Prague, where Branislav also teaches. He is married and has a one-year-old son.
