BARTENDING LEGEND ROMAN UHLÍŘ IS BACK IN CLOUD 9

Since moving all his activities to the Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge in October, bartending icon Roman Uhlíř has quickly used all his skill and experience to successfully introduce the unique Cloud 9 Exclusive Lounge concept.

The move is something of a homecoming for Uhlíř, who was involved in setting up Cloud 9 before it opened and also enjoyed a six-month sojourn as the club’s first head bartender. He has now taken over the management of the club and has brought his own distinctive brand of bar-keeping activities under the Cloud 9 banner (including the renowned R.U. SHOP bartending school). Uhlíř will continue these projects within the Hilton chain on an international level. His first innovation is the new Cloud 9 Exclusive Lounge – a private section of the bar focusing on clients who want to pamper themselves and are willing to pay that little extra for the privilege.

“The Cloud 9 Exclusive Lounge is a place where you can enjoy a comfortable club atmosphere even though the place is packed and guests are crowding around the bar calling on bartenders to mix the most original cocktails,” says Uhliř.

Located at the back part of the bar in front of the terrace, the Cloud 9 Exclusive Lounge is a separate area, which guarantees privacy for guests who appreciate personalized service even though the club is full.  “Every Cloud 9 Exclusive guest receives a complimentary shooter of our most popular cocktail Charisma and a selection of canapés,” says Uhliř.  “Because the lounge has a limited capacity with only 24 seats, we recommend that patrons make reservations well ahead of time. Minimum consumption is 1,000 CZK per person.”

The Cloud 9 Exclusive menu is based on Roman’s vast experience of the bartending trade as well as feedback received from Cloud 9 clients. Besides the bar’s renowned range of original signature cocktails, the Exclusive menu also offers distinctive super-premium mixed beverages made from the finest ingredients, such as the Madame de Pompadour, based on Remy Martin Louis XIII, Grand Marnier Rouge and Moet et Chandon Dom Perignon. Even the preparation of this cocktail is a unique experience, as it is mixed on a special bar-trolley by a white-gloved bartender right in front of guests. Each batch of this cocktail contains enough for six drinks, which can be served all at once or in the course of the evening.

The Cloud 9 Exclusive Lounge also offers an extensive selection of Champagnes as well as first-class spirits and wines, such as Chateau Petrus 2004. All of the original cocktails from the standard Cloud 9 menu (which are the hallmark of this establishment) are served with specially flavored pralines to complement and enhance the taste of the beverage. This is just one of the many extra touches guests can enjoy as part of the elite Cloud 9 cocktail experience.
