KPMG: Companies dropping their guards in information security
8.02.2010Company: KPMG Česká republika, s.r.o.
European Identity and Access Management 2009 is a survey that KPMG and Everett have conducted among companies from 23 european countries. It has shown that due to the economic crisis, almost half of the companies do not pay attention to information security.
The main findings of the study are as follows:
• Clearly the economic crisis has its impact on IAM, but IAM is still in the spotlight
• Governance, Risk and Compliance is by far the main driver of IAM
• There are still significant gaps between the expected and realised benefits of IAM
• A lack of business buy-in is the main cause of IAM project failure
