KPMG Czech Republic has been strengthened by the appointment of new partners. Karel Charvát and Jindřich Vašina have been appointed new partners in the Audit department, while Jan Linhart has been appointed partner in the Tax Services department.
Karel Charvát has become a new partner in the Audit department at KPMG Czech Republic. He joined KPMG Czech Republic in September 1997. He has been responsible for audits and audit-related services provided primarily to clients involved in the extraction, processing and trade of commodities, pharmaceutical firms, and companies in the real estate sector.
In 2003, after returning from a two-year secondment in the Dallas office of KPMG in the USA, he was promoted to manager and in 2005 to the position of senior manager.
Since 2003 he has been making significant contributions to training and implementation of the KPMG audit methodology. From 2005 to 2007 Karel Charvát served as group manager in KPMG Czech Republic´s Brno office and in this position he oversaw planning and other administrative activities.
Karel Charvát graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in 1996. He is a member of ACCA and is a Czech statutory auditor.
He spends most of his free time with his wife and their two children. His hobbies include history, sightseeing trips and swimming.
Jindřich Vašina has become a partner in the Audit Financial Services department at KPMG Czech Republic. He has been responsible for audits and advisory services provided mainly to clients such as banks, insurance companies, investment and pension funds, but also those in the real estate and private equity sectors. He serves several major financial clients, including PPF, Home Credit, UniCredit and Generali PPF Holding.
In 2003 Jindřich Vašina was promoted to manager and in 2005 to the position of senior manager. In 2006 he became the deputy group manager of the Audit Financial Services department. In this position he had several internal responsibilities, in particular for Human Resources.
Jindřich Vašina graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in 1998. In September of the same year he joined KPMG Czech Republic. He is a Czech statutory auditor, a Czech certified tax advisor and a member of ACCA.
He likes sports and travelling. Most of all, however, he enjoys being with his two daughters and spends most of his free time with his family.
Jan Linhart has become a partner in the Tax Services department at KPMG Czech Republic. He joined KPMG Czech Republic in 1998. He specialises primarily in providing tax services to manufacturing companies. He has also worked for a number of important telecommunications, trading and service companies. He focuses mainly on corporate income tax, investment incentives and other forms of state aid.
Jan Linhart was promoted to manager 2002 and in 2005 to the position of senior manager. He leads a group providing services in the area of investment incentives and is member of the Global Location and Expansion Services group through which KPMG, within a global network of advisory companies, serves companies expanding to new markets.
Jan Linhart graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in 1998. In the same year he became a certified tax advisor. He is a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic.
He spends most of his free time with his wife and their two daughters. He likes travelling and especially hiking.
