Hilton Prague & Hilton Prague Old Town Organized a Charity Green Day, Proceeds Benefited the Cystic Fibrosis Club

Hilton Hotels in Prague have recently organized a Charity Green Day including wide range of activities demonstrating Prague Hiltons’ positive attitude towards environment and a support of the ecological corporate program of Hilton Worldwide “We care”.
Proceeds from this activity amounting to 30.440 CZK benefited Cystic Fibrosis Club (CFC). Hilton Hotels in Prague handed over the cheque to the representative of the CFC and an inhaler to a six year old Marek Šalda diagnosed with the cystic fibrosis disease.
On the Green day, over 60 participating employees came to work by foot, by bicycle or public transportation. They cleaned their offices, storages and the hotel’s surroundings. During the afternoon a Green Dinner menu including dishes from organic ingredients was offered at the employee cafeteria, which was followed up by a 5km Awareness Group Run. All the participants had the opportunity to support the charity organization by buying the CFC cap or t-shirt, which they were wearing during the run.
In addition, a Garage Sale of old hotel equipment was hosted for the team members. Both the team members and the Cystic Fibrosis Club members were encouraged to make the sale successful, benefiting those in need. A donation of personal items that could be sold for at least 50 CZK was set up by the employees themselves. At the same time the Cystic Fibrosis Club representatives had a chance to present their organization during the Garage Sale, sell promotional items and paintings made by the children suffering from the disease.
