The Ambassador of Chile Inaugurated the Flavours of Chile Food Festival

On October 4, Flavours of Chile Food Festival was opened at the Hilton Prague.

The festival was inaugurated by H.E. Enrique Krauss, Ambassador of Chile in the Czech Republic accompanied by Markus Fritz, Hotel Manager of the Hilton Prague. The Festival takes place in Café Bistro of the Hilton Prague till October 10, authentic Chilean food is prepared by guest chef Pablo Gálvez from Chile. 

During the festival, guests will have the opportunity not only to taste traditional Chilean dishes but also to try exquisite Chilean wines and the traditional liquor pisco.

The Festival is open to public daily from noon to 3 pm and from 6 pm to 10 pm.
For CZK 990 guests can enjoy unlimited consumption of traditional starters, main courses, side dishes and desserts from the buffet, welcome drink of pisco, soft drinks and a glass of a prestigious Chilean wine.

Chilean cuisine:
Chilean cuisine is based on a combination of Spanish cuisine with traditional Chilean ingredients. It is also influenced by other European cuisines, particularly from Germany, and Italy. Due to the long coastline, seafood and fish play an important role in the Chilean cuisine. Many Chilean recipes are enhanced and accompanied by wine as Chile is one of the world's largest wine producers.

Humitas  - boiled corn leaf rolls filled with seasoned ground corn
Pastel de choclo - typical Chilean summer dish - corn and meat pie
