Martin Smekal (38) comes to Deloitte where will be driving Risk Advisory services in this cluster and will concentrate on Controls Assurance and Internal Audit with focus on the Public sector.
Martin previously held the position of partner in the Czech Republic and recently global director for quality and risk management, for Ernst and Young. Martin has over 17 years of experience in financial services, having worked as an auditor and in Business Advisory services for Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young.
Martin holds a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is married, has 2 children and his hobbies are sport (golf, softball) and travelling.
