Alexander Schreiter appointed General Manager of InterContinental Prague

Alexander Schreiter has been appointed General Manager of the InterContinental Prague 17th January 2011, taking over from Kees Kramer, effective March 1st, 2011.
Alexander Schreiter, 48, started his hotel career in 1980 at the InterContinental Hamburg. He has worked for Hilton, Mövenpick Hotels, and the last 15 years for IHG.
He has experience in 4 different countries, Bahrain, England, France and Germany.
His first assignment as General Manager was in 2000 at the Forum Hotel Hamburg.
In 2002 he moved to the Crowne Plaza Heidelberg and since 2006 he has managed the Crowne Plaza Hamburg.
In his new role, Alexander will report directly to Joep Peeters, Managing Director Westbridge Europe, the new Owning Company of the InterContinental Prague
Alexander Schreiter was born in Munich. He is married and has a son, Phillip (14). His hobbies are football, golf, good Wines and Cigars, and family is very important to him.
Alexander Schreiter says about Prague: “Unfortunately I have been only twice in Prague in the past 15 years, but it was enough to see what a wonderful city Prague is and how nice the people are. The same could be said for Hamburg, my recent place of work, and by coincidence Hamburg and Prague are Partner cities.”
