A Czech branch of an international organization Turnaround Management Association has been established

With effect from 6 November, a new civic association Turnaround Management Association Czech Republic started its operations. The association deals with issues relating to the management of the company in times of crisis and insolvency (turnaround management / restructuring).


The association unifies leading Czech experts who deal with the field of corporate governance in times of crisis, insolvency law and corporate finance. Its aim is to promote high ethical standards in all activities related to resolving the problems of insolvency and to also contribute to the training of those engaged in these issues.

Petr Smutný, who is the director in Advisory Services of PricewaterhouseCoopers responsible for restructuring, was appointed the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Tomáš Richter, who is active in the law firm Clifford Chance and teaches at the IES FSV UK, was appointed Vice-Chairman. Members of the Board of Directors are:

Turnaround Management Association International is a non-profit organization aimed at solving the financial crisis and company bankruptcies. The association was founded in 1988 in Chicago and has more than 8,100 members in 43 branches throughout the world.
