Filadelfie office building to become the new head office for UniCredit Group in the Czech Republic

6.06.2011
Company: PASSERINVEST GROUP, a.s.

UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and other member companies of UniCredit Group – UniCredit Leasing CZ, UniCredit CAIB Czech Republic, UGIS (UniCredit Global Information Services) and UniCredit Business Partner – are moving house this autumn to the new Filadelfie administrative building in the BB Centrum complex at Prague 4. Its developer is the company PASSERINVEST GROUP, and the building is part of a modern administrative complex boasting very good transportation access and full community amenities. The rental contract was signed Wednesday, 1 June 2011.

“I believe that we will succeed in developing the new headquarters for UniCredit Bank and the other UniCredit Group companies into a true 21st century financial services centre. The new building has all the necessary features, including excellent transportation service, quality support services and overall capacity suiting the demands of a dynamically developing banking institution,” noted Jiří Kunert, UniCredit Bank CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“I feel blessed to have accomplished another major deal. It has been seven years since we commenced discussions with what was then HVB BANK on their moving into the BB Centrum. I am pleased that the deal has been successfully finalised following the UniCredit merger. I believe that the Filadelfie Office Building will provide a high-quality and friendly work environment for such a distinguished financial group as is UniCredit,” stated Radim Passer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PASSERINVEST GROUP.

The UniCredit Group member companies will have at their disposal 14 of the total 17 floors, which represents approximately 26,700 m2 of leasable area. A new UniCredit branch will be established on the ground floor, offering services especially for retail clients. Advisory company DTZ and the Clifford Chance law office provided significant assistance to UniCredit Group in the contract preparations. In selecting its new head office, and in addition to very good transportation access, the key factor for UniCredit Bank was the requirement for a pleasant work environment for its employees, including a wide range of restaurants, shops, wellness centres and various other services. In addition to its high standard of office premises, the Filadelfie Office Building also offers a considerable amount of flexibility in its interiors as well as savings on operating costs.

UniCredit Bank will retain ownership only of its building on Náměstí republiky in Prague’s downtown, where, in addition to the branch, clients also will have available other services for the retail, corporate and private banking segments. Negotiations are currently underway for sale of the Bank’s remaining premises, including the historical building on Na Příkopě.

Description of the Filadelfie Office Building
Architecturally, Filadelfie is an original administrative building with 17 floors above ground and 6 below ground, offering 30,500 m2 of office space. Located in an attractive area near Prague’s downtown and close to the metropolitan ring expressway in the direction of Brno, Filadelfie is among the most modern administrative buildings in the Czech Republic.
