Hilton Hotels in Prague Reveal a New Czech Record

On June 14, Hilton Hotels in Prague organised a party for clients and business partners. Almost 500 guests joined the ‘celebrity extravaganza’ themed event at Hilton Prague Congress Hall. A new Czech record for the largest Babovka cake was revealed during the party.
The Hilton Hotels in Prague team welcomed guests in fancy dress as famous celebrities. The grand opening featured a special projection of wireless LED lights and projection on white fabrics that had been tailor made for this event. Cluster general manager of both Hilton Hotels & Resorts Prague properties, Michael Specking, made a special appearance as the ‘Terminator’ on his motorbike.
Guests enjoyed the best of Catering by Hilton, including live cooking stations of the CzecHouse and Zinc restaurants presented by their respective Chefs, as well as Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge selection of cocktails. The largest Babovka cake was served at the event, revealing a new Czech Record, and was festively cut by Across the Channel World Champion, Yvetta Hlavacova, the Guiness World Record holder for the longest legs of any women in the world.
The Babovka cake was made by the Hilton Prague Pastry Team lead by the award-winning pastry chef Youri Baltaliyski, who spent 18 hours to put together the 110 cm high masterpiece with a diameter of 1.2 meters, weighing in at 530 kg. The cake was made of an astonishing 3,600 eggs, 180 kg of sugar, 180 kg of flour and 180 kg of butter. The Babovka cake, as a new Czech Record, will be entered in the next edition of the Czech Book of Records in 2012.
A raffle was organised for guests with prizes worth over 300,000 CZK including Hilton Hotel stays, flights and other valuable items. Proceeds amounted to 44,100 CZK and rounded up by General Manager Michael Specking to 50,000 CZK were donated to the Tereza Maxova Foundation.
The event was also enjoyed by several of local celebrities including, Lejla Abasová, Anna Fixová, Yvetta Hlaváčová, Josef Klír or Yemi Ad.
