UniCredit Bank, winner of the Best Bank 2011 award from financial daily newspaper Hospodářské noviny, has begun this summer to distribute its payment cards in a new design. The new appearance of cards is representative of the bank’s affiliation to the international UniCredit Group. Other banks in the Group have also introduced the same card design. The new design relies on modesty and simplicity, using the UniCredit Bank logo in combination with the name of the bank. The innovation applies to both debit and credit cards.
“We are pleased to be able to offer our clients this new group design for cards as well as to provide them with the other advantages that come with being part of a strong international group. When making a payment with a card abroad, they will no longer present the merchant with an unknown card from the Czech Republic but simply a UniCredit Bank card with which the merchant is familiar, as clients from other countries are also paying with the same card,” stated Leoš Pokorný, Manager of the Card Section of UniCredit Bank.
“UniCredit Group has unified card designs in all countries in which it issues cards, and thus a total of 28 million clients will have the same card design,” Mr Pokorný continued. “All these clients are able to benefit from the strength of the international group, a unified brand, as well as uniform fees for cash withdrawals from over 19,000 ATMs in Europe.” Thus clients can execute withdrawals from Group ATMs in all UniCredit countries for the same price as in the Czech Republic, and for a large portion of clients that means for free.
UniCredit Bank clients can look forward to a card with the new design not only upon arranging a new payment card, but also in the case that an old card expires and they obtain its renewed version.
