The Target Company: TOPOS PREFA Tovačov a.s. Rega Přerov a.s. (“REGA”), the parent company of the REGA group, has successfully sold TOPOS PREFA Tovačov a.s., a company focused on the production of ferroconcrete constructions, to GOLDBECK, a German group. The negotiations had been taking place since the beginning of 2011 and resulted in an agreement on 31 August 2011. The aim of the transaction was for REGA to gain additional resources in order to support the growth and development of other group members. RSM TACOMA participated in the process of selling as an exclusive consultant to REGA, organising and managing the entire transaction.
Prof. Milan Janout, a board member at REGA, commented on the cooperation with RSM TACOMA:

TOPOS PREFA Tovačov a.s. has been active in the Czech market since 1993, when it was privatised. Since then, the company has continued with the activities of the formerly state-owned enterprise. Today, TOPOS PREFA Tovačov produces ferroconcrete constructions offering projects and production, as well as the construction of the foundations and the installation of their products. The company has the capacity to produce both standard and bespoke products. In the last period, the company´s revenues have reached CZK 200 – 300 million.
GOLDBECK ranks among the most significant German construction companies. Using its own pre-fabricated panel constructions, the company is currently focusing on office buildings, halls and car parks. The group was established in 1969. With approximately 2651 employees, it achieved revenues of EUR 1.1 billion in the last financial year. The acquisition of TOPOS gives GOLBECK further production capacity and better access to the Slovakian market.
