Grant Thornton Significantly Expands on the Czech Market
The leading Czech advisory firm Facility becomes part of Grant Thornton International, a successful global organization providing services in the areas of audit, accounting and tax, management and transaction consultancy. In the Czech Republic, part of the global organisation is also IB Grant Thornton which already operates here in the areas of audit, tax, accounting and payroll services. Grant Thornton International consists of independently owned advisory and auditing companies with a global structure; currently, it occupies the seventh place in the global ranking of advisory, auditing and accounting firms.
"Grant Thornton wants to double its sales to $ 7 billion by 2015 and it plans to realize $ 2 billion of the amount in the area of consultancy services. The Facility advisory company was founded in early 2002 when several experts with rich practical experience and with a vision to give a quality content to regular consultancy joined their efforts. In 2008, the company bought Consulting Ceske sporitelny; last year, a significant part of the Deloitte team joined the company. Currently, Facility, with more than 50 consultants, belongs to the leading Czech advisory companies providing services in the area of management consulting, transaction advisory and valuation with the experience of more than six hundred completed projects for leading companies and institutions operating in the European markets.

As result Grant Thornton in the Czech Republic now has, over 100 employees in the Prague and Brno offices and the turnover is in excess of 200 million crowns a year. Among the 700 of Grant Thornton's clients are more than a half of CZECH TOP 100 companies, most of the government ministries and other major institutions.
Throughout the whole of the Grant Thornton organization, over 30,000 professionals currently work, they operate in over 100 countries of the world and the turnover of member companies exceeded 3,7 billion USD in 2010.
