KPMG’s CEE Property Lending Barometer

11.10.2011
Company: KPMG Česká republika, s.r.o.

Banks’ confidence in real estate financing is growing in the Czech Republic, KPMG survey shows.

The total real estate transactions in the CEE region in H1 2011 were EUR 5.2 billion. When comparing this number to last year’s total transactions of EUR 5.5 billion we can see a significant improvement. If annualised, the 2011 total real estate transactions could reach EUR 10 billion.

The Czech Republic overtook last year’s best performer Poland in the results of the Property Financing Sentiment Index, but is still second to Austria, whose market is included in the survey this year for the first time.
