RSM TACOMA a.s. has been providing for long time its services to AVG Technologies N.V. in respect of valuation for the purposes financial reporting prepared in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
AVG Technologies N.V. ranks among leading providers of software solutions focused on computer and computer networks security as well as optimization of their operation.
In 2011 RSM TACOMA a.s. prepared the studies for AVG Technologies N.V. dealing with so called “purchase price allocation” (PPA).
PPA is a method used when a new business is entering a consolidated unit, and it is required by the IFRS. The importance of the method lies primarily in itemized valuation of all assets and liabilities, including those which have not been reported so far, to their fair value and calculation of a possible residual asset in form of so called “goodwill”.
In 2011 we provided AVG Technologies N.V. with valuation services focusing on PPA in case of acquiring the following companies:
- Droid Security Ltd., a company dealing with security solutions for mobile phones using the operating system ANDROID
- TuneUp Software GmbH, a company dealing with optimizing solutions focused on improvement of operation system and enhanced computer performance
