KPMG: Mobile devices starting to compete with landline connections

Smartphones and tablets replace landline connections whose numbers dropped year-on-year.

The number of landline connections dropped worldwide by 4 percentage points in a year-on-year comparison. Quarter of Europeans do not own a landline, further decrease is expected.
