Dalibor Kačmář of Microsoft elected to serve as Chairman of AmCham IT Committee in 2012/2013

Based on results of AmCham IT Committee chairman elections Mr. DALIBOR KAČMÁŘ of Microsoft was elected by IT Committee members and approved by AmCham Board of Directors to serve as the IT Committee chairman for 2012-2013. Congratulations.

Vision for running and development of AmCham IT Committee:

There are in general three main goals that AmCham IT Committee shall be heading in its future development. First attract more active members as well as companies attending events organized by the committee. This must be, second, driven by relevant content that reflect state-of-the-art technologies and trends as well as by engaging with recognized speakers. As IT itself always serve the business needs and is major changes are driven by economy, the committee could, third, better cooperate with other AmCham groups (HR, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing etc.) to gain their view as well as inspiration for its work and vice versa. The role of the IT Committee chairman with respect to the outlined goals is to help enable those directions.

Person information:

Dalibor Kačmář, has been working for Microsoft for 9 year in variety positions. Mainly as Platform Strategy advisor and recently is managing all server business in Czech Republic. Before joining Microsoft, Dalibor led externally a software developer strategy as the Microsoft Regional MSDN Director and used to teach at different universities in Czech Republic, USA and Finland for more than 12 years.

In past three years Dalibor was a member of the Executive Board of SPIR, Czech professional association active in the field of internet advertising. He is also member of AmCham IT Committee since 2010, representing Czech Microsoft subsidiary and driving some of the events related to the latest trends. Since 2010 he’s been also organizing Czech Cloud Computing Group on the professional network LinkedIn.
Dalibor is recognized speaker at major IT conference in Czech Republic covering latest IT trends and strategies, cloud computing, IT business related topics, security and legal aspects of cloud computing. Those areas are also fully covering his professional interests.
