Citi® Premium offers a superior assessment of financial means, a wide range of payment tools and abundant investment opportunities

PRAGUE – Citibank Europe plc in the Czech Republic launched a new service package called Citi® Premium, a comprehensive solution for finance management, in July 2012. The owners of the package receive current accounts in CZK and another thirteen currencies, savings accounts in CZK and EUR and an individual approach to their financial assessment, tailoring a personal investment portfolio and strategy by providing them with the expert and individual care of a personal banker.

“Citi Premium is primarily designed to serve clients who want to actively work with their finances and expect an individual approach at the same time,” says Veronika Špaňárová, Retail Bank Head at Citibank, about the new product.

The Citi® Premium service package is free of charge for the first three months after opening the account and will remain so if the client’s average balance on the current account is at least two hundred thousand CZK or equivalent in the appropriate currency, or the sum of incoming payments to the accounts within the service package is at least seventy thousand CZK. Clients, who do not meet any of the mentioned criteria, will be charged a maintenance fee of three hundred CZK per month.

Moreover, Citibank clients receive very favourable conditions for their everyday current account management, such as unlimited local transactions ten cash withdrawals from all ATMs in the Czech Republic and five cash withdrawals from all ATMs abroad per month – all free of charge. Within the Citi® Premium service package clients also receive Private travel insurance and a Citgold credit card which brings many attractive benefits from fashion, gastronomy, accommodation, entertainment and lifestyle segments, t and concierge services.

Investment services

Citi® Premium brings clients many opportunities for further assessment of their finances.

An integral part of investment services within the package is designing their individual investment portfolio and a tailor-made strategy according to the clients’ expectations and needs. The investment products portfolio the Citibank bankers work with consists of more than one hundred and sixty internally inspected investment funds from seven investment firms as well as of structured bonds offering a potential of extraordinary profits while having complete or partial security of investment recovery. The offer also includes Premium FX Products linked to the exchange rates of various currency pairs, which in already one week maturity might have generally higher yields than ordinary deposits. Citibank clients can also participate in the development of underlying currency pairs through premium deposits bringing them at least a minimum guaranteed interest.

In the Citi® Premium service package clients can also use the Citibank Global Transfer service which allows the transfer of funds between Citibank accounts across the globe without a time lag. Citibank clients can also use the Citibank Online internet banking, CitiMobile mobile banking and CitiPhone telephone banking free of charge. As part of the Citi® Premium package clients receive an embossed debit CitiCard MasterCard with implemented 3D Security technology while having the opportunity to get an additional card of the same type for a relative aged 15 years and older. When paying with this card clients can use benefits and discounts given by the partners within the Citi Club program which includes favourable offers from gastronomy as well as shopping, sport, health and wellness segments in the Czech Republic.
