Although golf tourism is booming, the Czech Republic fails to attract travelling golfers

14.08.2012
Company: KPMG Česká republika, s.r.o.

Based on current KPMG worldwide study Golf Travel Insights 2012 Golf tourism increases. 60 % of responding travel agencies recorded annual growth 22 %. The most desired destinations were Spain, Portugal, Great Britain and Ireland. New golf destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam or Turkey recorded increased interest. In the Czech Republic the biggest interest was for golf courses located near Prague. Most visiting golfers are Czechs anyway, foreigners make up a negligible amount.

KPMG survey on golf tourism and course profitability shows that although golf tourism is booming, Czech Republic fails to attract travelling golfers.
