CTP and the City of Brno will be in New York on October 1st and 2nd to explain why Brno is business smart. The two-day event will take place at the Bohemian National Hall in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce.
Day 1 of the event introduces Brno’s exceptional cultural and architectural heritage. Day 2 includes the seminar “Brno – Knowledge Economy City,” which will present Brno’s R&D and high-tech credentials.
The Czech Republic’s second-largest city, Brno is business smart for all the right reasons. Benefits include strategic location, a well-developed infrastructure network, and a skilled, affordable, young, and motivated workforce. Brno is also home to one of Europe’s most prestigious technical universities. An increasing number of international companies active in the high-tech and knowledge-based sectors are relocating European operations to Brno, to take advantage of the multiple benefits that the city has to offer.
At Brno Days in New York, American companies based in Brno will explain the secrets behind their success, stories of their expansion in the Brno area, and plans for the future. Speakers include representatives from IBM, Honeywell, FEI, AVG, Moduslink, and CB&I.
Petr Gandalovič, the Czech Ambassador to the US, and Norman L. Eisen, the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic, will both be speaking at the event. The re-opening of the famous Villa Tugendhat, a UNESCO World Heritage site and masterpiece of functionalist architecture designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, will also be celebrated.
CTP looks forward to meeting other corporations who need to streamline and re-structure their European business in order to increase performance and get ready for the future.
