Citrix Systems, the leading provider of virtualization, networking and cloud computing technologies that let people work anywhere on any device, has announced that it has appointed Detlev Knierim as new Regional Director for Eastern Europe. He will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing business of Citrix in Czech Republic & Slovakia and Poland. He reports to Guenther Brand, Area Vice President Russia, CIS, Eastern and Southeast Europe at Citrix.

Detlev Knierim, who brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, joins Citrix from Hewlett Packard (HP) where he was responsible for global accounts and networking sales in Russia and CIS. Prior to that he held several sales executive positions at CISCO, COLT Telecom and Vodafone. Detlev Knierim is German national and holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering at University Hannover and Master of Economy (Dipl.-Wirt. Ing.) at RWTH Aachen (Germany).
