We are pleased to announce ABB, a global leader in power engineering and automation, has signed an agreement with CTP to develop a new custom-built (CTFit) 12 500 m2 production and R&D centre at CTPark Brno. The facility will be used to produce high-performance switchgear components for the power industry. Custom fit-out will include installation of cranes, floor pits, special foundations and a paint room. The new project will employ 150 people in the hi-tech sector.
Construction will start immediately with completion scheduled for September of this year. This will be the 4th project CTP has developed for ABB – including a robot service centre, and a global design centre in Ostrava, as well as a production facility at CTPark Modřice.
“The new project confirms a strong long-term relationship with ABB and reflects the company’s positive outlook on the business climate in the Czech Republic,” stated Remon Vos CEO of CTP. “The selection of Brno for this high-tech operation reaffirms the city’s attractiveness as a key destination for international companies.”
Non-stop action at the CTPark Brno includes the ongoing construction of a 40 000 m2 production campus for the company FEI, and the unveiling of phase II of Honeywell’s new design centre.
