Bird & Bird wins TMT team of the year at Legal Business Awards

We are pleased to announce that Bird & Bird was awarder the TMT team of the year at the 16th annual Legal Business Awards held in London in February 2013.
The team won for their work helping Nokia to successfully defend a claim that it required a licence to patents owned by IPCom, which sought billions of pounds in royalties. The fight began in 2006 and gave rise to 70 separate actions involving 49 patent families in the largest and longest-running patent litigation in the electronics sector.
