PETERKA & PARTNERS strengthens significantly in Russia

PETERKA & PARTNERS is pleased to announce several changes in its Moscow office: Marina Tarnovskaya in her new capacity of Partner and Director of the office and Vlad Rudnitsky in his new capacity of Managing Associate and Director of the office have been appointed to office management; David Simek who launched the office in 2009 and who has led it successfully since, will fully concentrate on representing Czech and Slovak clients in the Russian market; The Moscow team has also been strengthened by the addition of five experienced lawyers.

To cope with the increase of demand for legal services for both the Czech and international clients, who increasingly seek to take advantage of strategic business opportunities in the Russian market, the management of PETERKA & PARTNERS Moscow office has been entrusted to the local leaders Marina Tarnovskaya and Vlad Rudnitsky.

David Simek who launched the office in 2009 and who has led it successfully since, will be now allowed to fully concentrate on assisting Czech and Slovak clients operating in Russia and, even after his planned relocation back to the Prague headquarters, capitalise on unique experience he had gained during his 4 years in Moscow.

The shift in management is in accordance with the PETERKA & PARTNERS´ strategy. The firm considers as an integral part and factual confirmation of its success on foreign markets its ability to identify and train local leaders able to assume responsibility to manage its foreign offices. Similar management restructuring has already been successful in Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Romania.

The Moscow team has been strengthened by the addition of four experienced Russian lawyers: Lenara Lyuni, Anton Yakushev, Svetlana Seregina and Natalia Maramzina, and a Czech qualified senior lawyer, Dan Loukota. The team will expand further in the next few weeks and the total number of lawyers will increase to 15. The deep experience of the new team´s members will significantly enhance the capabilities of PETERKA & PARTNERS Moscow practice to meet the growing needs of clients.

Marina Tarnovskaya, has been cooperating with PETERKA & PARTNERS since 2012. She has an extensive six-years´ experience gained in the Ural Bar Association of Sverdlovsk region. She specialises in civil and commercial litigation, corporate law, antitrust, bankruptcy, and labour law and tax. She is fluent in English and Russian.

Vlad Rudnitsky has been cooperating with PETERKA & PARTNERS since 2010. He previously worked as a lawyer for a major Russian investment and development company and with a Russian law firm. He has extensive experience in corporate issues, contract law, intellectual property, litigation matters and representing clients in relations with state bodies. He is fluent in English and Russian.

David Šimek has been cooperating with PETERKA & PARTNERS since 2008. Since 2009 he has served as general director of the firm´s office in Moscow, representing both international and local clients. Experienced in all areas of law relevant for investors in the Russian market, he is fluent in Russian, German, English and Czech.
