Important Bible Loan | Staff News | Czech EU Presidency
The Friends of the Czech Bible Society presents annual exhibitions of Bibles in Czech and other language translations. Earlier this year an exhibition entitled “The Czech Bible over the Centuries” took place in Rome. The Lobkowicz Library participated in another exhibition of the FCBS in South Moravia at the end of 2008. The exhibition moves to Brussels this month and then to Prague. The Saint Wenceslas Bible was translated into Czech from 1677 to 1715. A printed version of this important Bible will be on loan from the Lobkowicz Library. Its inclusion will reflect the intimate relationship between notable Czech figures and their bibles. (For more details please see www.lobkowicz-collections.org)
