Avon Walk Against Breast Cancer 2013 Postponed

With respect to the flood situation and participants’ convenience, we decided to spare Prague any other waves, even the pink ones. Therefore, this year’s Avon Walk, originally scheduled for Saturday, June 8, will untraditionally take place in September.
Cancellation of the Saturday event will certainly disappoint many people, but we believe that it is the right thing to do. We are aware that people in many parts of our country are concerned about their loved ones, their health and property. The event against breast cancer should remain optimistic, and Avon wishes to make it accessible to all those who want to offer their kind support. By postponing the event we, at least symbolically, support those who would like to come to Prague but are not able to right now.
“We consider the postponement necessary. Details on the September Walk will be available in the following days,” said Alena Pytlíčková, Avon PR and Advertising Manager. “Just as the fight against breast cancer is unfailing, we hope that this change will not weaken our joint determination and we’ll meet in Prague,” she added.
