PRAGUE – Czech Citibank has joined its affiliates in more than 100 countries around the world and created a Czech section of the Citi Alumni online network for Citibank’s former employees in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the Citi Alumni network is to give Citibank’s former employees an opportunity to keep in touch with the bank and also their former colleagues. The www.citialumninetwork.com website has a common global basis but some of its parts have been localized for each of the countries and in their languages and each of the countries also has its own section. Former employees (‘alumni’) can register and follow developments at the bank as they happen, and also enjoy some of the benefits that Citibank’s current employees have access to.
“With its almost 300,000 employees around the world, Citi has enormous potential for networking,” comments Michal Nebeský, Citibank CEO, on the Citi Alumni scheme, adding: “My own experience tells me that I often benefitted from keeping in touch with and promoting professional and personal relationships with my former Citibank colleagues when I was working for a different company. I can therefore personally recommend joining the Citi Alumni platform to all of the former employees who had and still have a positive relationship to Citibank.”
The Citi Alumni network is intended for all former employees who spent at least two years with Citibank, regardless of whether they worked full-time or part-time or whether the two years covered a continuous period of time. Citi Alumni gives Citibank’s former employees an opportunity to resume contact with people with whom they have worked in the past, but may have lost contact with after leaving Citibank. Through Citi Alumni, they can get in touch with their former colleagues and share with them their new experiences.
Users registered with Citi Alumni will gain access to Citibank’s special offers and bespoke products. They can also make use of discounts on visits to museums or attractive sport events in various parts of the world. As part of Citi Alumni, former employees will also have access to Citi’s continuously updated surveys and through its newsletter they will be notified in advance of interesting events organized by Citibank in their region and others.
“For Citibank, the Citi Alumni network is also a tool for keeping and forging ties with the talented individuals who have left Citi but not ruled out returning to the bank in the future,” adds Michal Nebeský who is a great example. He returned back to Citi after a few years spent outside of the bank in order to write up his curriculum vitae, this time sitting on the highest chair in the Czech Republic.
Last but not least, Citi Alumni offers the opportunity to attend philanthropic and other non-profit events together with Citibank’s employees.
