Plzeňský Prazdroj accepted “Rhodos – price for the image”

Plzeňský Prazdroj was awarded the highest prize in the category “Producers and Distributors of Beverages” in the prestigious competition “Rhodos.” The most important personalities in Czech show business decide who is the company with the best image in the Czech Republic.

Plzeňský Prazdroj beer brewing company took the highest prize in the form of a sculpture from traditional Czech crystal in one of the 10 categories – „Producers and Distributors” of Beverages“ – in the 15th annual competition for the best company image. Since it began in 1997, the prestigious award Rhodos has been awarded to only those companies with the best practises in the Czech Republic. These are evaluated by three hundred experienced Czech and foreign top managers. The main goal of the Rhodos competition is to make a list of companies with the best image in several different fields of business practises based on independent decisions.

„Plzeňský Prazdroj is seen as a company that has made an excellent Czech beer for generations. Thanks to its image, it became respected not only in our country but all around the world. Successes such as the Rhodos award are, for all of us at Plzeňský Prazdroj, extremely valuable, and we see it also as a commitment to maintain the good name of our company and of all of its brands,“ said Grant McKenzie, marketing manager of Plzeňský Prazdroj.

The competition for the best company image has ten categories that represent different fields of business practises. The conditions of the competition are independent decisions made by managers according to the rules of market research. The list of companies is built according to region, size, and filed quota, out of which the managers select their favourite based on two main criteria – knowledge and image. First, they list the companies as they know them and then they pick one representative out of the entire category. At least 30 votes out of 300 is necessary to advance to the finals. The winner is the company with the highest index number.
